Kevin Taylor departs Cobh Ramblers

First Division Cobh Ramblers have confirmed that defender Kevin Taylor has departed the club.

Taylor joined the Rams from Cork City in 2017 before making 61 appearances for the First Division outfit.

Departing at the conclusion of the 2019 campaign, the 21-year-old played under both Stephen Henderson and Stuart Ashton while at St Colman’s Park.

Kevin was part of the Cork City U19 squad for the 2014/15, 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons. He played against Liverpool's Development squad in July of 2015 but hasn't made a senior competitive appearance for the club.

Kevin joined Cobh Ramblers in July 2017 and went on to make 7 senior appearances for the club before re-signing for the 2018 campaign. In December 2018, Kevin signed back with Cobh for the 2019 season.

The former Cork City underage star also played in the 2018 EA Sports Cup final at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium last term.

Cobh were eventually undone by the Candystripes by three goals to one, with Chris Hull scoring for the then Stephen Henderson managed side.
