Former Cabinteely forward Joe Doyle extends Bray stay

First Division Bray Wanderers have confirmed the re-signing of forward Joe Doyle ahead of the 2020 campaign.

It has been a busy week at the Quinsborough Road venue, with Derek Daly, Dylan Barnett and Paul Keegan all committing their futures to the Seagulls for another year at least.

It has also been confirmed that Dylan McGlade has departed the Seagulls, linking up with Blyth Spartans in the English non-leagues.

During the 2019 campaign Doyle scored four goals in 23 appearances for Gary Cronin’s side, who were ultimately unable secure a playoff position.

Cabinteely held firm in the push for the playoffs, despite a two-month unbeaten run in the league from the Co. Wicklow outfit.

Prior to joining Bray before the start of the 2019 campaign, Doyle plied his trade with fellow First Division side Cabinteely.

Joining the Green and White’s in 2016 after impressing on trial, Doyle asserted himself as a key performer at Stradbrook.

Doyle grabbed a club record four-goal haul for Cabo in one game, in a 5-1 hammering of Athlone Town that year.

The 22-year-old played a further two years with Cabinteely before making the move to Bray Wanderers.

Meanwhile, Adam Hayden has also re-signed for Bray.
