Peamount United's Eleanor Ryan-Doyle named WNL Player of the Month for June

Eleanor Ryan-Doyle has been named as the Só Hotels Women’s National League Player of the Month for June.

The impressive forward scored a stunning goal for the Peas against last years champions Wexford Youths in June – a goal that has seen James O’Callaghan’s side enhance their grip on the top of the table.

Ryan-Doyle also played a pivotal role in Ireland’s run to the semi-finals of the World University Games.

Having impressed with Dave Connell’s side in Naples, the young forward catapulted herself into the Ireland squad for the friendly versus the United States earlier this month.

Coincidentally, the 2018 FAI Cup runner-up has become the first Peamount United player to win the accolade this season.

“Coming from a huge club like Peamount United. As a club we deserve the recognition for the season we have had,” the winger said after receiving the award.

“It’s great that I can show who well the team are doing this year.

“The League is up and coming. It's brilliant that players of such good quality are being called into the senior squad.”
