Eric Molloy had a Bohs debut to remember as the trialist, on as a late substitute, smashed home a last-minute equaliser to ensure Frank Lampard’s first game as Chelsea boss ended in a draw.

The winger, who played in the World Club Cup with Team Wellington earlier this year, smashed home within ten minutes of his introduction to earn Bohs a deserved draw.

Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi had given the Blues an early lead as a deflected shot from Kenedy fortuitously bounced into his path.

Danny Mandroiu and Luke Wade-Slater impressed for the home side, while youngster Billy Gilmour played a starring role on his introduction at the break.

James Talbot was forced into two fine stops, first to keep out a swirling thunderbolt from Tiémoué Bakayoko before getting down once more to deny Gilmour.

Bohs were the better side for the final half-hour, however, with 14-year-old Evan Ferguson putting in an eye-catching performance for the final 23 minutes.

He was involved in the equaliser as he dummied Keith Ward’s pass and former Wexford Youths man Molloy showed a great first touch before smashing the ball past Jamie Cumming in the Chelsea goal.
