League Report: Finn Harps 0 - 0 Bohemians

Ciaran Gallagher was the hero of the day for Finn Harps as he saved an injury-time penalty to earn the home side a point, in a dull game of few chances that neither team deserved to win.

Both managers made one change each from their last respective game, Barry Molloy coming in for Harps in place of Liam Flatley who started the draw away at Wexford Youths and Mark Quigley replacing Kurtis Byrne who was in the starting line up for Bohemians' defeat at home to Champions elect Dundalk.

The first real chance of the opening twenty minutes fell to Paddy Kavanagh who rounded goalkeeper Gallagher but scuffed his shot under pressure from Packie Mailey, who then cleared the ball.

Shortly before the break Finn Harps were forced into a substitution with Michael Funston replacing the injured Gareth Harkin.

Damien McNulty had the last chance of an uneventful first half after a lay-off from Funston but his shot was wide of the mark to leave it 0 - 0 at half time.

As the second half got underway, Jake Kelly replaced Ayman Ben Mohamed for Bohemians.

The first chance of the second half fell to Ryan Curran after a great cross from Adam Hanlon but his soft header was easily saved by Delaney.

20 minutes into the second half Ollie Horgan made an attacking change with Kevin McHugh coming on for Adam Hanlon.

Five minutes later, Keith Long made a double change with Anto Murphy and Kurtis Byrne replacing Keith Buckley and Mark Quigley, while Horgan made another attacking swap with Dave Scully replacing Tony McNamee.

The game came to life in stoppage time as Ryan Curran hit a late free for Finn Harps off the wall, Bohemians went straight on the counter attack where Ciaran Coll gave away a penalty after a tackle on Roberto Lopes. Anto Murphy stepped up but his effort was well saved by Ciaran Gallagher in the home goal, in what was the last action of the game.

After the match Ollie Horgan admitted from where he was stood it did look like a penalty but he

commended the honesty of the away team with several players admitting it wasnt a penalty.

The result leaves Finn Harps unmoved in seventh on 12 points while Bohemians leapfrog Sligo into eighth on 11 points. Bohemians are now unbeaten in their last 13 matches against Finn Harps.
