Shane’s Biography
Shane was a member of the Wexford Youths squad in their debut league season of 2007 and after two seasons with the side he had made 16 league appearances. But in 2009 he cemented a position in the Youths' midfield making 31 league appearances, and adding 29 more in 2010, a season in which he also contributed an impressive nine league goals.
In February 2011 Shane signed for Stephen Henderson at Waterford United, making 11 league appearances before asking to be released by the club in July 2011. Within a fortnight Shane was back in a Wexford shirt, returning to the side for a 2-0 defeat at home to Finn Harps on 22 July. He went on to make 11 more league appearances for Wexford that year and added 14 more in 2012 before quitting the club at the end of July.
Shane went on to play for North End United and was with them for the 2015/16 season before returning to Wexford Youths, now a Premier Division side, in July 2016. He made another 12 league appearances over the latter half of the 2016 season and scored once, in a 3-1 defeat to Bray Wanderers. Shane left the club at the end of that year, one in which Wexford were relegated via the play-offs.
