Johnny’s Biography

Johnny is a young striker, who can also play at the centre of defence. He was part of Dundalk's first-team setup for the first time in 2010 after impressing in the Youths team and during pre-season training.

Breen joined the club’s Youth setup in August 2008 from local club Rock Celtic, and made his competitive first-team debut when starting the 2-0 win over Ballymun United in the Leinster Senior Cup First Round at Whitehall on 24 February 2010.

Johnny's first club goal came on his very first league start at home to Bray Wanderers on 26 April and he made a total of 15 league appearances in 2010, scoring twice. He git five more league goals in 2011, making 25 league appearances.

In January 2012 Johnny signed for Louth rivals Drogheda United and made his league bow away to Cork City on 9 Match. But he made just 6 league appearances that year, all as a substitute, and left the club at the end of the season.
