Marc’s Biography
Mark is a striker who joined the Dundalk youth team in August 2008 from local club Muirhevnamor. He was called up to the Dundalk first-team squad by Sean Connor in 2009 and was named as a substitute on a number of occasions before finally making his senior debut on the last day of the '09 season, coming on as a second-half sub in a 2-1 defeat by Derry City at Oriel Park.
Mark didn't make any league appearances in 2010, although he did sit on the bench on four occasions. and was limited to one appearance from the bench in an FAI Cup game against Mervue United. But 2011 saw his breakthrough at Oriel Park as he scored eight league goals in 21 league appearances for the Lilywhites. He cemented his reputation the following year, netting five times in 17 league appearances, leaving the club at the end of 2012 for pastures new.
In February 2013 Mark signed for Declan Devine at Derry City and made his club debut in a Setanta Cup tie against Drogheda United at the Brandywell on 4 March 2013. He made his league debut four days later on the opening night of the 2013 league season and went on to score three times in 22 league appearances (ten from the bench) as Derry finished fourth in the Premier Division.
In January 2014 Mark returned to Dundalk. He was left frustrated on his return however, making only 10 league appearances, which all came from the bench, due to the form of Patrick Hoban and David McMillan. He did, however, pick up some silverware as Dundalk won the 2014 league title on the final day of the season.
In December 2014, Mark signed for Bohemians under manager Keith Long. He went to make 10 league appearances for the club, scoring two late winners in games against Drogheda United and Derry, before injury ruled him out for the rest of the season. In December 2015, Marc moved to First Division side Drogheda United where he was part of the side that won promotion to the Premier Division via the 2016 play-offs, making 22 league appearances and scoring four times. He also appeared in all four play-off matches and re-signed with Drogheda ahead of the 2017 campaign. Marc left Drogheda in June 2017 after making 12 appearances during the 2017 season scoring once.
Marc then signed for Glenavon in July 2017 with his initial contract being a one year deal with the option of a further season.
