John’s Biography
John played underage football with St Joseph's Boys before starting his professional career in England with Blackburn Rovers. He also played with Bury FC befoe returning to Ireland at the end of the 2006/07 season.
In July 2007 Galway United beat off a number of clubs to secure John's signature and the 24-year old had an immediate steadying influence in the 12 games he played that season. At the start of the 2008 season John was announced as club captain.
At the end of 2008 John emigrated to Australia where he played with Melbourne Knights, Oakleigh Cannons and Southern Stars.
