Derek’s Biography
Derek played underage football with Cherry Orchard before securing a move to English side Chesterfield. In February 2017 he signed for Pat Fenlon at Waterford FC. In 2017 Derek won the Waterford Young Player of the Year and also the award for goal of the year. He made 23 appearances and scored three goals before signing a new contract for the 2018 Premier Division season.
Derek signed for Bray ahead of the start of the 2019 season and he spent two seasons with the Seagulls. In February 2021 he signed for Athlone Town and he spent another two seasons there, leaving at the end of 2022 to join their Midlands rivals, Longford Town.
