Virgil’s Biography
Virgil played youths football with both Willem II and Groningen before starting his senior carrer at Groningen, making his senior debut for them on 1 May 2011. Two years later he left the Netherlands to join Scottish giants Celtic and he spent two seasons at Paradise.
In September 2015 Virgil signed a five year deal at Southampton but two and a half seasons later, in DEcember 2017, he was transferred to Liverpool for £75 million.
He made his senior international debut against Kazakhstan on 10 October 2015.
