Anthony’s Biography

Anthony is a striker who began his career at Boston United in 2001. Since then he played for a string of clubs including Stevenage Borough, Kettering Town, Boston United (again), Stockport County, Leeds United, Crewe Alexandra, Lincoln City (loan), Ferencvaros (Turkey), Rochdale, Grimsby Town and Preston North End (loan).

In February 2013 Anthony signed for Sligo Rovers and scored on his debut in a 5-0 Setanta Cup win over Glentoran on 4 March 2013. Anthony scored a remarkable ten goals in his first ten league games. He finished the season with a total of nineteen league and cup goals as Sligo finished third in the league, but the club also enjoyed FAI Cup success with Anthony scoring a dramatic winner in a 3-2 triumph over Drogheda United in the final.

In November 2013, Anthony joined Cork City under new manager John Caulfield and made his debut for the club against St Patrick's Athletic at Turner's Cross on the opening night of the 2014 season. However, he made just 3 league and cup appearances for City before leaving by mutual consent on 12 May 2014.

Anthony the signed for Irish League side Ballinamallard United in late May of 2014 where he played until February 2015 when he joined Derry City. He scored twice in nine games for the Candystripes, with both goals coming in a 3-0 win over Drogheda United, before leaving the club in June 2015 by mutual consent.

In August 2015, Anthony re-joined Sligo Rovers, now under Micky Adams, until the end of the season. He went on to score twice in eight substitute league appearances as Sligo finished ninth in the Premier Division. He left the club at the end of the season.

Anthony represented the Mayo League in the 2017 EA Sports Cup.
