Mesut’s Biography
Mesut Ozil is a German former footballer.
Mesut was playing for Arsenal when he was included in Germany's squad for the 2016 European Championship. On June 4th 2018, Ozil was selected in the Germany Squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
He had spells with Schalke 04 and Werder Bremen before joining Real Madrid in 2010. He subsequently spent eight years with Arsenal before finishing his career in Turkey with Fenerbahce and Istanbul Basaksehir.
He announced his immediate retirement from football aged 34 on March 22, 2023, citing persistent injuries.
