Kim’s Biography

Kim started his professional career at BK Hacken in 1999. Two years later he signed for Djurgardens IF where he won Swedish league titles in 2002 and 2003. He scored 26 goals in 48 league appearances during his two seasons at the club, and in January 2004 he signed for French side Rennes.

In two and a half seasons at Rennes Kim scored 20 league goals in 83 league appearances and in June 2006 he transferred to Lyons where he won French league titles in 2007 and 2008. He spent a total of six seasons in France before moving to Spartak Moscow ahead of the 2012/13 season. He spent two seasons there, with a loan at Arsenal in the Premier League coming in the latter half of the second season too.

Kim joined Swiss side Grasshopper ahead of the 2015/16 season and was playing with them when he was included in the Sweden squad for the 2016 European Championship.

Kim made his international debut against Finland in 2001 and has represented his country at two European Championships (2004, 2008) and at the 2006 World Cup Finals.
