Liam ’s Biography

Liam joined Sligo Rovers in 2011 as part of their scholarship scheme and made his league debut as a substitute in the 5-0 win over Dundalk on 4 October 2011. He made 2 league appearances that year and signed his first professional contract with the club in February 2012. He made just 1 substitute appearance during Sligo's league title winning season of 2012 before joining Ballinamallard United of the Danske Premiership on loan in August 2012, making 25 league appearances and scoring twice before returning to Sligo in January 2013

Liam was more involved for Sligo during the 2013 season, racking up 17 appearances in all competitions as the Bit O' Red finished third in the Premier Division and won their third FAI Cup in four years. In December 2013, Liam joined Ballinamallard United permanently and went on to make 10 league appearances before the end of the 2013/14 season.

In the 2014/15 season, Liam made 32 league appearances for Ballinamallard, scoring six goals and getting eight assists. Liam also began the 2015/16 season with the Mallards and scored five goals in 21 league games before returning to Sligo Rovers in January 2016.

Liam started 2016 as a first-choice in new manager Dave Robertson's midfield and scored his first league goal for Sligo in a 1-1 draw with Galway United at the end of March. He went on to play in 30 of the club's 33 league matches, only missing the last three games of the season due to suspension. He also chipped in with three goals as Sligo finished fifth in the Premier Division. In July 2017 after 18 months at the club Liam departed Sligo after his contract was cancelled.
