League Preview: Longford Town -v- Treaty United

LONGFORD TOWN

Longford Town will be looking to claim their first points of the season when they welcome Treaty United to Bishopsgate (kick-off is at 7.30pm).

The Red and Black have only played twice this season due to weather related fixture postponements - losing both.

The most recent of which came against Cork City last weekend as Stephen Henderson’s side fell to a 2-0 defeat.

But they had to play that game without a host of first-team starters, with Jack Brady and Ross Fay two late withdrawals.

Defender Aaron Walsh has also been sidelined for an extended period with a recurrence of a knee injury.

The Town, however, can take positives from their first two league outings but will be keen to take their first points of the campaign.

TREATY UNITED

High-flying Treaty United visit Bishopsgate seeking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

The Shannonsiders have impressed so far and dropped their first points of the year last weekend against Bray Wanderers in a 2-2 draw.

They have already swatted aside Cobh Ramblers, Kerry and UCD.

But they will face a test of their early-season mettle this evening with doubts surrounding the fitness of Enda Curran and Colin Conroy.

Referee: Gavin Colfer.
