Former St Patrick’s Athletic youth Kyle Robinson has completed a move to Scottish Championship strugglers Arbroath until May.

Robinson endured a stop-start season in 2023 with Shelbourne and Drogheda United in the Premier Division.

He began the year with Damien Duff’s side before switching to the Drogs midway through the year.

But he has since opted to try his luck in Scotland and join Arbroath, who already have former Cork City defender Gordon Walker on their books.

The striker even made his debut for the Scottish second-tier side on Saturday as a sub in their scoreless draw against Ayr United.

Arbroath currently sit bottom of the table and are two points off safety.

Robinson has made 69 senior appearances in the League of Ireland and has scored 22 times during spells with Wexford, St Pat’s, Shels and Drogheda.

“I am delighted to bring Kyle to the club,” Arbroath boss Jim McIntyre said.

“He’s a natural goal scorer who is sharp, ambitious and is excited to get this opportunity to further develop his career in Scotland.”
