Glory Nzingo, who began his career with St. Patrick's Athletic, has now been signed by Swansea City's academy from French Ligue 1 club Stade de Reims.

The 18-year-old Dublin-born midfielder will be joining Anthony Wright's under-21 squad, following his commitment to a contract that extends until the end of June 2026.

Nzingo's football journey saw him achieving significant success with St. Patrick's Athletic, claiming the under-15 league and cup double in his debut season and being part of the under-19 league-winning team in December 2020.

Despite his young age, Nzingo has already had a taste of senior football, having made his first-team debut with the Athletic in a pre-season friendly against Chelsea in 2019 when he was just 14.

Andy Goldie, Swansea City Academy Manager, expressed his enthusiasm over the new signing.

“Glory is a player we have monitored since before COVID, and he offers an exciting profile and dimension to what we already have in that area of the pitch. We’re delighted to eventually be able to welcome him to Swansea City.”

Jack Chapman, Head of Academy Recruitment, shared similar sentiments.

"He’s an energetic presence in the middle of midfield where he likes to carry the ball, and we feel he will complement the other profiles already in the squad. We look forward to supporting Glory, and we hope he elevates himself towards the first team.”
