Stephen Lowry signs one year contract extension with Coleraine

Stephen Lowry has signed a one year contract extension with Coleraine.

Lowry will now remain at the Showgrounds for the remainder of the current season if it is indeed possible to complete, as well as spending the 2020/2021 campaign at the club.

So far Lowry has amassed 247 appearances and scored 37 times during two spells at the club.

Oran Kearney, current Coleraine boss, spoke of his delight at securing Lowry for another 12 months.

“It was well documented that we didn’t want Stephen to leave the club in the first place, but despite getting a year or two older, he has maintained the same weight and still plays like a 25 or 26 year old,” he said.

“He has been outstanding this season and has shown a high level of consistency in his performances.

“He is like a fine wine and is getting better with age and he sets a great example to all.

“Stephen is a great guy, he is well liked and we are delighted to have him at the club.”
