Former Northern Ireland under-19 international Mark McKee joins Warrenpoint Town

NIFL Premiership side Warrenpoint Town have announced the signing of former Northern Ireland Under 19 international Mark McKee.

The 21 year old began his career with Cliftonville but made the move to League 2 side Stevenage in 2015.

He made his senior debut for the Boro in 2017 and went on to play for the side 33 times in League 2 until his release at the end of the 2018/19 season.

McKee returned home to Cliftonville last October but just months later has made the move to Warrenpoint Town.

“Mark is an extremely talented player and will prove to be a great addition to the current crop of players here at Milltown,” manager Barry Gray said, speaking to the club’s website.

“He has a professional background from his time at Stevenage and is a player that is very hungry to play and prove himself again.

“The staff and I are looking forward to seeing him in action.”

He is available for selection for Warrenpoint’s next fixture this Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
