Glentoran sign midfielder Seanan Clucas from Dungannon Swifts

Northern Irish Premiership side Glentoran have confirmed the acquisition of midfielder Seanan Clucas.

27-year-old Clucas is the Glens latest signing of the January transfer window, as the former Swifts captain makes the move to the Oval.

The midfielder joined the Swifts from Derry City in 2015, where he has played for the club consecutively over the past four and a half years.

He has previously had spells at Championship side Preston North End, League One Bristol Rovers and Linfield.

While at the Recreation Ground, he made nearly fifty first team appearances in his two seasons at Bristol Rovers, and has played for Northern Ireland at under-17/19 and 21 level.

Glentoran Head Coach, Mick McDermott said; “Seanan will be a great addition to our team. He brings quality, a physical presence and can play in multiple positions.

“He is a proven quality performer in the Danske Bank Premiership. I am absolutely delighted to have him at Glentoran.

“I would also like to thank Dungannon Swifts for the professional way in which they have conducted this deal.”
