John Kavanagh makes Cobh return ahead of 2020 campaign

First Division Cobh Ramblers have confirmed that John Kavanagh has made his return to the club after a two-year spell away from the club.

Kavanagh played for the Rams during the tail-end of the 2017 season, where he played eight games for the then Stephen Henderson managed side.

The 25-year-old began his League of Ireland with Cork City, where he was to spend six and a half years at the club, where he was to make 47 league appearances for the club.

Further spells at Waterford and Finn Harps followed after Kavanagh’s spell at St Colman’s Park.

“I’m delighted to be back, and I’m looking forward to getting started,” the Corkonian told the Rams media team.

“Stuart is assembling a strong group and I’m excited to be a part of it.

“The last time I was here, back in 2017, we were challenging for the league title so hopefully we can do something similar this year.”
