Northern Ireland striker Kyle Lafferty signs for Sunderland
League One side Sunderland have announced the signing of Northern Ireland international Kyle Lafferty until the end of the season.
The striker last played for Norwegian side Strapsborg 08 and has spent time with Burnley, Norwich and Scottish Premier League sides Rangers and Heart of Midlothian.
32-year-old Lafferty is Northern Ireland’s all time second highest goal scorer and Sunderland manager Phil Parkinson expressed his delight at capturing the experienced player.

“I’m pleased to welcome Kyle to the club and I’m really looking forward to working with him,” he told the club’s website.
“He’s an experienced striker who provides us with another option in the final third. He adds competition for places at the top end of the pitch, which is something I felt we needed.”
