Easy as A, C, B - League of Ireland A Championship and B teams

Who could forget the timeless success of UCD's reserves in the A Championship? Well a lot of us could so Friday's advent podcast is a brief reminder of the most recent reserve league, it's structure and it's many flaws.


Declan Marron, Andrew Dempsey and Macdara Ferris also discuss the merit of having League of Ireland reserve teams, the current situation surrounding a possible Shamrock Rovers B coming into the First Division for 2020 and how heroic Limerick started this conversation by sacrificing themselves.

The lads also run through how the 2014 season went for Rovers’ B team in the First Division, which players graduated to play for the Hoops senior team as, well as those who have gone on to play League of Ireland football since then - albeit mostly in the First Division.
