Keith Cowan to depart Finn Harps

Finn Harps defender Keith Cowan has confirmed that he has left the club in the wake of their top-flight survival.

The Co. Donegal side secured survival by the skin of their teeth at home to Drogheda United, with Harry Ascroft sealing survival for Ollie Horgan’s side.

The 34-year-old has made 56 appearances for Harps in the past two campaigns, after missing out on the 2017 season entirely.

Cowan made his Harps debut in 2005, before returning to the club in 2010. Since 2010, the central defender has made 206 appearances for the club.

The defender has also secured two promotions with the club, in both 2015 and 2018 under Ollie Horgan.

He has also scored 12 goals for Harps, with his last coming against Cork City in April. His last appearance came in the second playoff win over Drogheda.
