Draw revealed ahead of 2019 Carl O'Malley Cup

Extratime.ie have been drawn in a group containing the PFAI, RTÉ and Balls.ie in the 2019 Carl O’Malley Cup.

Extratime.ie endured a torrid 2018 cup campaign, conceding 19 goals in three group games, before bowing out of the plate to SportsJoe.ie in the quarter-final.

The PFAI secured the Carl O’Malley Cup in 2018, seeing off Teneo Sports in the Ringsend decider but a scoreline of six goals to two.

FC Fathom were crowned as the Plate winners last year, as they comfortably swept aside the challenge of Virgin Media by five goals to one in the final.

With Extratime.ie placed in Group B alongside last year’s winners in the PFAI, showdowns against both RTÉ and Balls.ie await.

In Group A, last year’s Plate winners FC Fathom will begin their 2019 Carl O’Malley Cup odyssey in a group containing Eir Sport, Virgin Media and SportsJoe.ie.

Group C contains INM, Teneo Sports, the42 and the Irish Sun, with the Sun having to wait until the knockout stages for the opportunity to face bitter rivals, the Irish Daily Star.

Group D also sees the Irish Mirror, the Star, the Irish Times and Off the Ball face off against one another.
