Gary Cronin continues 2020 preparations for Bray Wanderers with re-signings of Derek Daly and Dylan Barnett

First Division Bray Wanderers have confirmed the re-signings of former Waterford duo Derek Daly and Dylan Barnett ahead of the 2020 campaign.

Daly and Barnett both impressed for the Seagulls this term, with a combined total of 50 league appearances between themselves.

Derek Daly re-signs for the Seagulls after impressing in the First Division once more. Formerly of Cherry Orchard, Daly moved to Waterford ahead of the 2017 campaign.

From there he won the First Division with the Blues, while also winning the accolade of the club’s young player of the year award.

The 22-year-old Limerick native scored four goals for Cronin’s side last term, on their way to a 5th placed league finish.

Also re-signing is full-back Dylan Barnett who played a key role in the Seagulls 2019 campaign. The 22-year-old played 26 competitive games in total for Bray this year.

The former St Joseph’s Boys schoolboy made the move to the Carlisle Grounds from Waterford along with Daly.

Scoring two goals this year for Bray, Barnett saw the conclusion of his season hindered by injury.
