Bohemians v Cork City -- Where can I watch it and what do I need to know?

An important game for both sides, and for very different reasons, takes place in Dalymount Park as Bohemians welcome Cork City to the capital.

A win for Bohs will inch them closer to European football for the first time in seven years, while City know three points will guarantee Premier Division survival.

Both teams come into the game on the back of disappointing defeats, City losing 4-0 away to Derry City and Bohs bowing out of the FAI Cup with a 2-0 home defeat to rivals Shamrock Rovers.

Neither has time to dwell on those results, however, with St Patrick’s Athletic and Finn Harps breathing down their respective necks.

Neale Fenn is yet to taste a win in five games as City boss but the away side have form in this fixture which two wins and a draw from their three games, including a 1-0 win at Dalymount in April.

The Gypsies are justified favourites given their league position but they are enduring something of a sticky patch with just one win, against non-league Crumlin United, in their last five games.

Who are they key players to watch?

The biggest beneficiary of Bohs’ recent injury crisis has been the Scottish midfielder Scott Allardice, who has emerged as an indispensable feature of the Gypsies’ engine room.

Allardice found gametime hard to come by early in the season owing to the form of Keith Buckley and Conor Levingston, but his strength and technical ability have shone in recent weeks.

For City, creativity has been a problem since day one and the one man who can provide something from nothing is Daire O’Connor.

The winger, signed from UCD in the off-season, put City in front against Waterford in Fenn’s second game in charge and his ability to produce a moment of magic will be key to City’s chances.

Team news:

Cian Bargary, Ronan Hurley and Cian Murphy miss out for City, while Dinny Corcoran, Darragh Leahy, Andy Lyons and Cristian Magerusan are injured for Bohs, while Danny Mandroiu is suspended.
