Eir to show four European first round ties including both legs of Shamrock Rovers and SK Brann

Eir Sport will broadcast both legs of Shamrock Rovers’ Europa League tie against SK Brann as well as the second leg of Dundalk’s Champions League qualifier against Riga in Latvia.

The sports broadcaster will also show the home leg of St Patrick’s Athletic’s Europa League meeting with Swedish side IFK Norrkopping next Thursday as part of a double-header with Rovers in Norway.

It brings to ten the number of games involving League of Ireland clubs that Eir is committed to broadcasting during the month of July with five league games also pencilled in during the month.

Eir will present back-to-back Rovers’ first leg tie away at Brann Stadion in Bergen on July 11th before hosting coverage of the return leg seven days later.

Immediately after the coverage of the first leg, attention will switch to the Saints’ home tie with last season’s Allsvenskan runners-up Norrkopping.

Eir will also show the second leg of Dundalk’s meeting with the Latvian champions, the first leg from Oriel Park having already been confirmed for broadcast on RTE2 on July 10th.

In addition to Monday night’s broadcast of the scoreless draw between Bohemians and Derry City, which featured Extratime.ie’s Around the Grounds reporters, they will also show four more games.

Friday, July 5th will see Bohemians in front of the cameras once more as they travel to Cork City, while Sligo Rovers v Waterford, Waterford v Finn Harps, Cork City v Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers v Bohs will also be shown.
