Ireland under-21 star Reece Grego-Cox joins Woking from Queens Park Rangers
Republic of Ireland under-21 star Reece Grego-Cox has joined non-league Woking after agreeing to terminate his contract with Queens Park Rangers.
The London-born striker, who has scored four goals in Ireland's five European Under-21 Championships qualifying games so far, had fallen down the pecking order at Loftus Road.
21-year-old Grego-Cox, who qualifies for Ireland through his mother, scored a hat-trick in Noel King's side's 4-0 demolition of Israel at Tallaght Stadium in October.
However with little hope of joining international team-mate Ryan Manning in Ian Holloway's first-team plans, Grego-Cox has taken up a deal with the National League side until the end of the season.
“Would like to thank everyone at @QPRFC including the fans for the incredible support they have given me through my 8 years of being at the club,” the striker wrote on Twitter.
“But I have made this decision to experience a new chapter in my footballing career. All the best Qpr.”

Grego-Cox made his QPR debut as an 18-year-old in a Premier League game against Tottenham Hostspur in 2015 but has found gametime harder to come by since Rangers' relegation.
He signed for League Two side Newport County on a five-month loan during the 2016-17 season but his time in Wales was cut short after just seven games due to a knee injury.
